If you came to South Africa and didn’t do a safari in Kruger… did you even really come to South Africa?

SAFARI IN THE TRUE AFRICAN WILD

Immerse yourselves in an incredible, intimate, authentic experience with the most stunning wildlife on the planet in their natural habitat. You'll enjoy ultimate comfort in the bush, with all meals included, along with coffee stops and sundowners under the expert care of your skilled and knowledgeable guides. Take a moment to appreciate the little things — the scents of the bush, the sounds of birds chirping, the morning breeze on your skin, the crackling fire at night, and the brightest stars twinkling above.

Witness animals as they interact, hunt, and survive, in their most wild form, just as nature intended. Enjoy morning and evening game drives where you will have a great chance of seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, antelope, buffalo, zebras, maybe even leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs if you are lucky. There is no telling what you’ll see on safari — Mama Africa always has surprises in store!

LOCATION

This safari takes place in a private reserve within the exclusive Greater Kruger Region — a vast, authentic wilderness where wildlife roams freely between private reserves and Kruger National Park (a protected area covering nearly 20,000 square kilometers, about the size of Belize), the most iconic safari destination in South Africa.

These handpicked private reserves — such as Timbavati, Klaserie, Balule, or Manyeleti — are among the best wildlife regions in Kruger. With unfenced borders, wildlife moves freely between the reserves and the park, creating a vast ecosystem that offers a true wilderness experience where you never know what you'll encounter.

What makes this safari special:

  • Off-road tracking: Open vehicles allow you to follow wildlife closely for exceptional sightings.

  • Sunrise and sunset drives: Enjoy coffee stops and sundowners in the bush.

  • Night drives: Spot elusive nocturnal animals rarely seen during the day.

  • Limited vehicles per sighting: Ensures a private, intimate experience.

  • Authentic wilderness: Unfenced areas where animals roam naturally across vast landscapes.

This is the safari experience I recommend to all my clients — where you sleep amongst the animals in the heart of the wild, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa. It's a chance to witness iconic species like lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, maybe even rhinos, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs and more in their natural habitat.

Accommodation: Umlani Bush Camp or similar alternative (availability dependent) — comfortably fitted with en-suite facilities including a shower, mosquito nets, crisp linen and towels as well as with standard bathroom amenities, drinking water and insect repellent.
