1. Tented Camp only allows children aged 12+ (Safari Lodge welcomes kids aged 3+), and has only 12 tents compared to Safari Lodge’s 20 cottages. This provides a more peaceful and exclusive stay.

2. Tented Camp is newly renovated as of September 2024, meaning it is even more incredible than it already was!

3. Most importantly, Tented Camp is in the most wildlife-rich area of the reserve and looks out onto a very active riverbed where the safari never ends. Safari Lodge guests typically have to drive through the narrow passage of the reserve for the first 15-20 minutes of each game drive to get to the wildlife; Tented Camp is IN the action.

Chic and contemporary, Ngala Tented Camp comprises just 12 intimate and luxurious tents, making it a perfect exclusive-use option for a small group of family or friends. The tented suites are set on raised platforms and cleverly designed to blend into the riverside trees, minimising the impact on the environment.
